Rhea Chakraborty Granted BAIL: Mumbai Police Warns Media To NOT Chase Her Vehicle; 'Stern Action Will Be Taken'
Soon after Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail, Mumbai Police Deputy Commissioner sent ‘no chase’ warming to the media.
After being jailed for almost a month, Rhea Chakraborty was granted bail by Bombay High Court in the alleged drug case linked to Sushant Singh Rajput along with house manager Samuel Miranda, and staff Dipesh Sawant. Rhea's brother Showik Chakraborty and drug peddler Abdul Basit Parishar’s bail pleas got rejected. Rhea’s bail plea was approved on 5 conditions which include her marking presence at the nearest police station, paying surety of Rs 1 lakh among other things. As Rhea is set to leave for her home from Byculla jail, Mumbai police have sent strict warning to the media.
Soon after she was released, Mumbai Police Deputy Commissioner, Sangram Singh Nishandar said no media should chase the actress, lawyer or anyone related to the case for the interview. It is strict offence. Mr Nishandar told reporters, “You cannot chase the vehicle of any celebrity, advocate or any person you wish to interview. You cannot endanger your life, the life of that person or normal people walking on the roads. It's an offence. We will take stern action, not only against the driver but against the person instigating, instructing the person to do such a chase.” Well, the move came in after Rhea was mobbed outside the NCB office when she had arrived for the investigation.
Soon after Rhea’s pics went viral, Mr Nishandar told news agency ANI, “We have observed a lot of media vehicles chasing people who were called for the inquiry. The vehicles will be seized because they are endangering their lives as well as the lives of whoever was called and common people.”
